Metamorphose Airline Hats

I know this isn't really traditional Lolita wear but I have to admit, I LOVE the Meta Airline Hats.  The dresses are cute but a little too "theme" for me.  I know the hats are theme as well but look how cute they are with their little bows.

So cute.   I have never made a hat like these before but I might try to figure it out.  I have a big soft spot for the orange and white hat.  I think the hat style and colors make it the least Lolita hat ever but I can't help but love it.  Also, I really like the scarves as well.  I think these hats look so sweet because they remind me of the hats that soda shop and ice cream shop employees used to wear.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright Holiday Prints

Out of all the Christmas and Holiday prints that are out I have to say that I like Baby's the most.  It is fun that all the brands make prints for certain holidays.  I must say the Halloween prints are my favorite.  It looks like they have fun when they make those prints.  Cats, vampires, and masked men are just too fun to resist.

Angel's Gentle Whisper of the Heavenly Holy Night Melody
What is with that name?  I know it describes the print perfectly but what the heck?  Could they have made it any longer.  I cannot remember all of it and the acronym of it is not any better, AGWotHHNM.  Blargh.  It hurts my brain.  Even though the name is a bit much the print itself is just great.  Small angels, candles, stars, and musical notes and billowing music staffs make the print fit together well and flow well.

I have got to say, I like all of the colors.  Each color has a different feel to it that is fully realized.  The black has such a nice contrast with the cream details.  Plus since all of these color are not obviously "Christmas"  you would wear them any time of the year.  My favorite color is the purple.  People are sometimes scared of wearing purple in Lolita but this print is lovely.

LoveRing Present Box

This print makes me want to eat raspberry jam.  The pink ribbons have that color of raspberries and if I were to open one of these boxes I think I would find jam in it.  Perhaps jam and crackers.  I prefer the 2 prints with the pink ribbons over the 2 with the blue ones but I would be more than happy to have any of them.  Just like the other print this is a pattern that you could wear at anytime and not just during the holiday.

What are your thoughts?  Would you welcome a JSK or OP to your closet with these prints?

Daily Lolita Highight- Katzixx

Christmas is upon us!  There aren't many holidays that we start to celebrate and get excited about a month before its occurrence but people get excited for Christmas in a big way.  I am one of those people.  The day after Thanksgiving I put up the tree (It is small, like 20 inches tall) and got the decorations out from the back of my closet.  I still have to put up half of it and that is one of my tasks for today.  Christmas has such warm and fuzzy feelings associated with it.  Christmas carols, hot cocoa, snow (for those who live in places where it actually snows), presents, and general feelings of happiness make it a good time of the year.  I think people are a little happier because of it.

Anyhoo, on to the Daily Lolita Highlight.  I have been sitting on this one for a while and today is a good day for it.  Katzixx posted a simple coord consisting of a lovely pink Innocent World JSK, a white Bodyline blouse, a cream Meta hear bag, and R-Series shoes finished of with cream and dusty rose roses.  Flowers are perfect with almost any Lolita outfit.  I know not everyone will agree but I think flowers just add a feminine touch and help complete and a well put together coord.

The colors of her entire look go so well with each other.  Her red hair, smokey eyes, dusty rose JSK, cream bag, and brown and cream scarf blend well.  The pop of red hair is great.  A little fun.  I really like that Innocent World JSK.  The tiers of gathering in the skirt and rows of simple white lace make it interesting to look at but not overwhelming.  I love Angelic Pretty but sometimes their prints are a bit busy.  This outfit is quietly beautiful.

I love this picture.  The background is gorgeous and you get to see that amazing cream heart bag.  So cute.  I think most Lolitas would be more than happy to have that very bag.  (I think I might try to make one for myself)  If you like these pictures hop on over to her post on egl and let her know in the comments.  It is always nice to get friendly replies on Daily Lolita.

Hello Kitty at Target

I know Hello Kitty isn't really Lolita but she is so cute.  But, she might have a bit of Lolita in her.  She wears big bows, frilly dresses, and has collaborated with several Lolita brands.  Hello Kitty and Target have been together for a couple years now.  This makes me happy because it allows people to get their hands on Hello Kitty things without paying a ton.  (On a side note.  I used to live in Philly and in China Town there was a Hello Kitty store.  It was amazing.  I miss it so much.)
Anywhoo, I was at my local Target last weekend.  Like most people I check out what is in the dollar section.  Great stuff is there!  That is where great stuff lives.  I found a whole bunch of Christmas Hello Kitty stuff.  I went a little crazy.  I just threw stuff in the basket.

4 magnets and 2 post it note pads.  Nothing too amazing here but super cute so I had to get them.
Post it notes are great for my grocery shopping lists and as book marks.

A pretty necklace and bracelet.  I was suprised that the necklace was just a dollar like the bracelet.  It has such a fun and fruity variety of colors.  I think I will wear these on winter days that are a bit dreary.

Hello Kitty Christmas Goodies!!!!!  Yea!  This year I am going to have a tiny 2 or 3 foot fake Christmas tree instead of a full size one.  I got a very large cat tower and it took up the designated tree spot.  So, these tiny Hello Kitty ornaments will be perfect for the tiny tree.  The bottom two pictures are of 3-D stickers.  I got the first one to go one the outside of the gift right next to the gift/name tag.  And, the pink ones are just for me.

Daily Lolita Highight- Tsukasa

Good Monday All!  I hope the first weekend of November treated you well.  I had a pretty low key one so I am happy.  Let us start off this week with a snazzy Daily Lolita Highlight.  I saw this post on egl instead of Daily Lolita because these two lovely ladies did a photo shoot and wanted to show the egl community.  I do love seeing photo shoots on egl, they are so well done most of the time.  Here we go....
Hanna & Inka
I know.  So pretty.  Together they make a pretty pair wearing corsets and tiny hats.  I love love love the small black crown.  You don't see miniature crowns in Lolita much these days. I think we should come back in a big way.  The mesh gloves add a touch to their coordinates as well.  The contrast between their hands and sleeves make their hands look delicate and very lady like.

These shots and their outfits look like they could be taken right out of the Gothic and Lolita Bible.  The mostly black with touches of white and light colors make for a simple yet captivating color story.

The black corsets, which are gorgeous by themselves, give them such a nice silhouette.  The prefect Lolita silhouette.  I don't know where they got them but they are amazing.  I nicely made corset that fits correctly is an amazing thing.  You feel strong and beautiful in it.  You can tell in these photos that they feel beautiful.  It shows.

There are many more photos on their post on egl so you should definitely go and take a peek.  You will not be sorry that you did.  Lovely photo shoot girls and I can't wait to see if you are going to do another one.
